Stoke & Newcastle Ramblers

Kingston Ramblers will hold our third picnic event.  This one will once again be at Canbury Pavilion on Canbury Gardens, in Kingston.  A Walk is being planned to finish at the venue.  

The Canbury Pavilion can be accessed from Canbury Gardens, see the link below for specific directions to get into the venue, a little tricky to find, but the instructions are quite clear.  

Arrive from 12.30 and the picnic will finish around 2.30.  

Tea, Coffee and Cakes will be available but you may like to bring a sandwich with you.  

Bus stops outside John Lewis in Kingston stop nearby.  From John Lewis, head east and walk by the Bentall Centre (keeping Bentalls on your right hand side).  Turn left/ north by crossing the main road (Wood Street) using a pedestrian crossing by a Bentalls exit door - head north (Skerne Road) along a cycle and footpath walking beneath a large bridge / train tracks.  Keep going north passing the Hilton Hotel, and cross the road at the end (Sury Basin), keep walking north now on a pavement beside a cycle lane (Skerne Walk) and you reach Lower Ham Road.  Keep walking north past tennis courts/football pitches, pass Eastbury Road (on your right) until you reach Chestnut Road also on your right side.  Directly opposite here is a gate on your left which you need to enter, turn left and southwest down a tarmac path, keep walking to the end you will pass a tennis court on your right and at the very end, the entrance to the Canbury Pavilion will appear on your left side.  [see also photos attached to this Event]
