Hallbankgate, a former mining village in Cumbria is 13 miles east of Carlisle. It is part of Farlam parish which nestles between the River Eden and the Birthing valleys, with quiet lanes and gently rolling hills: perfect walking country. There is also the nearby Geltsdale Nature Reserve which gives us access to more rugged and wild landscapes.

The coach leaves from Claremont Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 4PT
It will be there for boarding from 9.00am and will depart at 9.30am
The coach leaves our finishing point at 17:30 pm to return to Newcastle
Refreshments are always available at the end of the walks before the return to Newcastle
