| Details | Littlecote to Ramsbury and Aldbourne We start at Littlecote Hotel (near the old Roman Villa) and walk up, over and through the Ramsbury Estate. Skirting Ramsbury we go past the Manor House and up the pathway to Aldbourne (scene of a Doctor Who episode). Heading through the village we ascend to Baydon Hill Farm heading East and then turning South over Hodd's Hill. Walking back towards and through Ramsbury we cross the river Kennett returning to Littlecote. The going underfoot is generally good but muddy in a few places and especially across a ploughed field. There are two steep ascents and short passages on roads. There are 6 stiles. |
