Where walking is a pleasure

Walk ID 100192314
Group AV04 Bath Group
Date Sun 17 December 23, 1002 days ago
Details Burrington Combe (Kingswood Ramblers walk)

We will be walking up through lanes and woodland to reach the open ground of Burrington Ham. We will then cross this open space before dropping down and climbing again up on to the Black Down Hills and the Trig Point at Beacon Batch where we will stop for refreshments!

We will then cross Black Down’s Ridge enjoying spectacular views over countryside and across to Wales before dropping steeply downwards on a broad grassy pathway before entering more woodland which leads us down to another country lane and takes us back to the car park.

Bring drinks and snacks as we will be having a 10 minute stop. Walking sticks and sturdy hiking boots would be advantageous too.

Why not join Kelvin afterwards at The Seymour Arms, Bath Road, Blagdon, BS40 7TH for a well deserved drink and/or lunch afterwards? If you'd like like lunch, best to book by contacting the pub on 01761 462279.

Many thanks to our friends in Kingswood Ramblers for inviting us to join them on this walk, and in the pub afterwards.
